Description

This powerful, lived experience-driven session explores the emotional realities of mental health through the voices of individuals who’ve walked the path themselves.

We begin with a real and honest story shared by someone with lived experience of mental health challenges — whether that’s depression, anxiety, trauma, or burnout. This is not about shock value, but about human connection, courage, and hope.

Participants are then guided through a reflective group discussion that touches on:

Recognising early signs of mental distress

The role of compassion in creating safe, supportive workplaces

Destigmatising conversations around mental health

The importance of listening without needing to “fix”

The session includes practical elements such as:
✅ Grounding exercises and simple breathwork techniques
✅ Building personal wellbeing plans
✅ Signposting to mental health support resources
✅ Encouraging peer-to-peer support and allyship

What You’ll Walk Away With:

Greater emotional literacy and confidence in talking about mental health

Deeper awareness of how lived experience can inform supportive policies and behaviour

A stronger sense of team connection and shared responsibility for wellbeing

This isn’t a tick-box workshop — it’s an opportunity to see, hear, and understand each other on a deeper level, with the goal of building more compassionate, mentally healthy environments.
